Board of Zoning Appeals

The Board of Zoning Appeals was created to appeal staff decisions and consider dimensional variances. Meetings are scheduled the second Thursday of every month at 6:00 P.M. in the Town Hall Council Chambers. The application submission deadline for next month meeting is 5:00 P.M. at Town Hall the Friday after the meeting. Submission dates and meeting dates are listed below. The BZA  is comprised of 7 board members appointed by Town Council. Board applicants are appointed based on knowledge and interests in a variety of fields related to architecture and design.

Public input for agenda items may be submitted by until noon the day of the meeting. Please submit correspondence to the Board at BZA@sullivansisland.sc.gov or jgress@sullivansisland.sc.gov.
