Proposed Rezoning Initiative will be heard by Town Council on June 15th at 6:00 p.m.

The attached memorandum is the Planning Commission's recommendation from their June 9, 2021 Meeting.

Town Council has initiated the rezoning of nine governmentally owned and operated properties to better identify public facilities island-wide and to achieve consistency with the SI Comprehensive Plan 2018-2028!

**No land use changes are proposed with this initiative, however, this rezoning will…

  • Provide clear a clearly defined zoning classification for government owned and operated property
  • Allow residential buffering against adjacent existing governmental uses
  • Provide a description of existing government uses
