In an effort to adhere to the Governor’s emergency orders, and out of an abundance of caution, the Town will not be blocking off the street along I’On Avenue between Station 17 and Station 18 during Halloween night. The Public Works Department works diligently to provide regular maintenance for the Island. Public Works is managed by the Fire Department and it is charged with assisting with the regular maintenance of public properties, like parks, beach paths and right-of-ways. The staff consists of one full-time supervisor, Scott Sanders, and three full-time maintenance workers. Seasonal and part-time employees are retained as needed.
