In an abundance of caution and following the advice of the Centers for Disease Control, Wednesday collection of yard debris will be suspended indefinitely due to the continued spread of COVID-19.  Residents are asked not to place any debris street-side until further notice.

Public Works Department

Welcome SignThe Public Works Department works diligently to provide regular maintenance for the Island. Public Works is managed by the Fire Department and it is charged with assisting with the regular maintenance of public properties, like parks, beach paths and right-of-ways. The staff consists of one full-time supervisor, Scott Sanders, and three full-time maintenance workers. Seasonal and part-time employees are retained as needed.
