BEACON PLAQUE APPLICATION
Property owners on Sullivan's Island with properties designated as historic resources- either Sullivan's Island Landmark Properties or Traditional Island Resources- can purchase a Beacon Plaque to display on your home. These bronze plaques are 1/4 inch thick and measure approximately 5 inches by 7 inches. They feature fine detailing, and are personalized with your property address. The cost for the plaque is $400.
Eligibility
To obtain your Beacon Plaque you must be designated as a Sullivan's Island Property or a Traditional Island Resource. If you are unsure of your designation please take advantage of our Interactive Historical Resources Map. This useful map highlights individual historic resources as well as local and National Register Historic Districts.

Application and Approval Process
Once you have determined your designation, please fill out the application linked below. Once completed, email the application to cdrayton@sullivansisland.sc.gov or deliver it to Town Hall at 2056 Middle Street, Sullivan's Island, SC 29482. Please do not submit payment until the application is approved.
Applications will be considered for approval in the order in which they were submitted. You will be notified once the review is complete. At that time, you will be instructed to submit your payment to Town Hall. Once paid, your plaque will be ordered. Plaques will be shipped directly to Town Hall. Please note, shipping times are between 4 to 6 weeks.
