There are numerous public beach access paths on Sullivan’s Island. There are wooden boardwalks as well as foot paths leading to the beach. Handicap path access is available at Station 26, Station 21, and Station 18 1/2. Additionally, a portion of the Sullivan's Island Nature Trail has been adapted with ADA matting for increased accessibility connecting the boardwalks at Station 18 and 18 1/2.
Public parking for the beach is allowed in the public right of way. All vehicles must obey the no parking signs at all times and keep all four tires off the pavement at all time. It is illegal to park or block the beach paths with a vehicle or golf cart at any time. There is public parking in front of Battery Thomson as well as behind Town Hall during non-business hours.
