Town Council

                           

The Town of Sullivan's Island is governed by a seven member Council, including a voting Mayor. The Mayor and Council members serve staggered four-year terms.  Municipal elections are held every odd calendar year in November.
Council is charged with establishing goals and policies, modifying Town ordinances, approving the Town's annual budget and awarding Town contracts.

Town Council meets a minimum of two times each month. There is a Workshop meeting at 6:00 PM on the first Monday of each month, and the regular Council meeting (at which official actions are taken) at 6:00 PM the third Tuesday of every month.

Want to submit correspondence to Town Council? We have several ways for you to reach out! 

  • Click here for a direct email link to your elected officials! Your message will also be included in the monthly Council packet under correspondence.
  • Attend a regular Council meeting, held on the 3rd Tuesday of each month, and make an in-person public comment.
  • Email the Clerk of Council and request that your message be forwarded to all Council members and to include in the monthly Council packet correspondence.

High School Youth Council

Are you a high school student interested in having a voice in your community?
Join the High School Youth Council! Meetings take place on the first Monday of each month (before Council Workshops)  at 4:45 p.m.
