Greetings, Sullivan’s Island residents, and community partners:
It’s hard to believe Thanksgiving is just around the corner. As we enter a season centered on family, friends, and gratitude, I want to thank our residents, local businesses, Town staff, and volunteers for everything they do to make Sullivan’s Island such a special place.
Over the next few months we will see multiple community events on the Island. With cooler temperatures encouraging more people to get outside, residents should expect increased pedestrian and bicycle traffic along streets and sidewalks. Please use extra caution while traveling around Town.
Recent disruptions involving the Ben Sawyer Bridge may also affect travel, however, construction crews with SCDOT are working hard to make necessary repairs in advance of the busy holiday season. Please plan ahead, allow extra time, and sign up for the Town’s community notification services if you have not already done so. Event routes, parking information, road impacts, and schedules will be shared through TOSI Talks, Everbridge and monthly newsletter as details become available.
Sign-up information about these services, along with other Town events and news, has also been included in Mayor O’Neil’s latest’s Island Eye article.
