Administration

Joe Henderson- Town Administrator- 12 Years on 06/03/25
Joe served as Director of Planning and Zoning Administrator since June of 2013. In May 2022 he was promoted to Deputy Administrator and in June of 2024 he was promoted to Town Administrator. He is charged by the Mayor & Town Council to oversee the operations of the Town, implement policies & decisions made by Town Council, budget accountability & preparation, and emergency preparedness. Pam Otto- Human Resources and Administrative Manager- 8 Years on 06/06/25
Pam is the Human Resources and Administrative Services Manager and has worked for the Town of Sullivan’s Island since June of 2017.  She coordinates all personnel related tasks, including employee benefits, risk management and ensures administrative services are delivered to Island residents in a professional and responsive way. Fire Department

Lee Pearson- Firefighter- 5 Years on 06/25/2025
Lee was born and raised in the Mount Pleasant area.  He started service as a volunteer at with Sullivan's Island Fire in 2016 and began working for the citizens of Sullivan’s Island in March of 2019.  You can reach Lee at lpearson@sullivansisland.sc.gov.

Christian Fischbach- Firefighter- 1 Year on 06/23/25
"Fish" started with Awendaw Fire Department in 2023 and made the switch to Sullivan's Island Fire Department in 2024 . In his spare time he enjoys being outdoors and loves being out on the water. You can reach Fish at cfischbach@sullivansisland.sc.gov.

Maintenance Department

Scott Sanders- Maintenance Supervisor- 27 Years on 06/15/25
Scotty works diligently to provide regular maintenance for the Island. He is charged with assisting with the regular maintenance of public properties, like parks, beach paths and right-of-ways. Scotty can be reached at ssanders@sullivansisland.sc.gov.

Police Department

Tyler Mahon - Patrol Officer- 2 Year on 06/12/2025
