Volunteer Opportunities

Sullivan’s Island is renowned for its tidy parks and pristine beaches. Our caring community makes this happen through various volunteer efforts including the Adopt-A-Station program, park clean ups, beach and marsh sweeps and donations. These efforts are important to help protect our unique ecosystem and raise awareness about the negative impacts of trash and debris on the ocean, salt marshes and wildlife. It also strengthens our community as we work towards a common goal of keeping the Island healthy and thriving! For more information on volunteer efforts please reach out to frontdesk@sullivansisland.sc.gov.

Mac Macmurphy, III Bench Dedication

On Saturday, November 7, 2020 a bench was dedicated to Mac Macmurphy, III. He was an active naturalist and believed in preserving all things Sullivan's Island. He spent quite a bit of time in the Maritime Forest. His family hopes that those who sit on the bench appreciate Sullivan's Island's natural beauty as much as he did.
