CAP Public Comments

For the past year Charleston County has been drafting a Climate Action Plan (CAP), and they are now seeking public comments about the plan before moving forward with adoption.  The goal of the CAP is to provide our region and our communities with a roadmap towards reducing greenhouse gas emissions, increasing energy efficiency, advancing equity objectives, and increasing affordability for households and businesses, with a paradigm shift away from considering climate action as a sacrifice to seeing it as an opportunity.  Having a CAP allows the County to be more competitive in leveraging federal funding for a wide range of projects.  Please follow the link to review the draft CAP document then fill out the questionnaire on the County’s website or email your comments to sustainchsco@charlestoncounty.org.
