Tropical Storm Chantal will possibly make landfall along the middle to upper South Carolina Coast late Sunday. Higher rain chances, with heavy rainfall possible, especially along the coast. Gusty winds, especially along the Charleston and Colleton County coasts, I-526/HWY 17 bridges, and over the coastal waters. Enhanced risk of rip currents through the weekend.

Don has been with the Sullivan’s Island Fire Department since September 2014. In addition to his regular fire & rescue duties, he works part time for the Public Works department. Markley began serving at Sullivan's Island in September 2023. He is a born Charlestonian and an 11-year veteran. Markley’s passion is Firearms training and tactical operations. He acquired this passion working in a Counter Drug Operations Unit for the majority of his military service.
