Council has recently tasked Thomas and Hutton with exploring additional recreation concepts for the Stith Park Master Plan which could further enhance the Park experience.  To gather additional information, the engineer has been asked to delay the presentation scheduled for April 16, 2024 to a later to be determined date. Appropriate notification will be provided for the rescheduled presentation date.

Fire Department

Paul Sottile

Paul Sottile - Firefighter- 6 Years on 07/29/2023
Paul began as a volunteer firefighter in June 2016 and was hired full time in July 2017. Prior to the fire service, he served in the Navy on the USS Enterprise. Paul enjoys assisting the residents and visitors of Sullivan’s Island and takes pride in keeping the station and equipment in great condition. You can reach him at psottile@sullivansisland.sc.gov.

Marc Micalizzi

Marc Micalizzi - Firefighter- 6 Years on 07/30/2023
Marc began his career as a firefighter in New Jersey. Marc also worked overseas as a contract firefighter for the U.S. Government. He moved to SC where he first join Sullivan’s Island Fire Department as a volunteer while he worked full time for the City of North Charleston. He was hired full time to Sullivan’s Island in July of 2017. He can be reached at mmicalizzi@sullivansisland.sc.gov.

Water & Sewer Department

John Myers

John Myers- Wastewater Treatment Plant Lead Operator- 8 Years on 07/13/2023
 has been with SIWSD since July 2015. He oversees the wastewater treatment plant. He currently holds a B Wastewater Treatment License, C Water Distribution License and a C Water Treatment License. Sadly (for the Town) John will be retiring on 07/16/2023. We will miss John very much and we wish him all the best in his future endeavors!

Andy Williams

Andy Williams- Chief Operator- 5 Years on 07/09/2023
 has been with SIWSD since July 2018. He supervises the staff and overall day-to-day operations. Currently he holds a B Wastewater Treatment License, B Water Distribution License and a B water treatment License. You can reach him at 843-883-5753 or awilliams@sullivansisland.sc.gov.

Tyler Potter

Tyler Potter- Wastewater Collection System Lead Operator- 3 Years on 07/06/2023
 Tyler has been with SIWSD since June 29, 2020. He oversees the Sewer Collection System. He holds a C SC Wastewater Treatment, D SC Water Treatment and C SC Water Distribution License. You can reach him at 843-883-5749 or tpotter@sullivansisland.sc.gov.
