Jason Blanton

Jason Blanton- Comptroller, 15 years on 10/01/2007
Jason was hired in 2007 as the comptroller to supervise the quality of accounting and financial reporting for the Town. In addition to serving as the comptroller he serves as manager of administrative services in Town Hall. He can be reached at 843-883-5751 or jblanton@sullivansisland.sc.gov.

Bridget Welch

Bridget Welch- Town Clerk, 6 years on 10/31/2016
Bridget was hired in 2016 as the receptionist. She has elevated to the role of Town Clerk and is responsible for maintaining all official & archives for the Town, attend Council meetings, handle revenue collections and prepare deposits. Max Wurthmann

Max Wurthmann- Building Official, 4 years on 10/15/2018
Max started working as a Building Inspector for the Town in 2018. In 2019, he received his license as a Residential Building Inspector.  His’s primary responsibility is performing a variety of inspections and assisting with various tasks in the building department. Fire Department

Eric Stinnett

Eric Stinnett- Lieutenant, 11 years on 10/03/2011
Eric has been working for Sullivan’s Island since 2011 but has been in the fire service for over 19 years. As an avid surfer and stand-up paddleboarder, Eric takes pride in being the first to jump on a jet-ski for a water mission. Eric can be reached at estinnett@sullivansisland.sc.gov.

Nelson Gerena

Nelson Gerena- Sergeant, 8 years on 10/01/2014
Nelson started with the Town in 2014 with over 36 years of prior law enforcement experience. He is the Agency’s National Crime Information Center Terminal Agency Coordinator and also serves as the Logistic Sergeant. Additionally, he serves as a Firearms and TASER Instructor.
