          Charlie Post Classic

The Charleston Running Club will host the annual Charlie Post Classic 5K and 15K road race again this year on Sullivan’s Island Saturday January 29, 2022. The event has been held annually on the Island since 1988 with cancellations only in 1989 and 2021. Race proceeds support a scholarship fund at the College of Charleston in memory of Dr. Charlie Post.

By and large the 5K race, which begins at SIES, takes runners east on I’On Avenue to Station 31 Street and returns to the school by way of Marshall Boulevard to Station 28 Street to Atlantic Avenue.
