Garbage Schedule & Hurricane Dorian Debris Collection Information

Fri, 09/06/2019

The Town has scheduled a household garbage pick-up for Saturday 9-7-19 beginning at 6:30 AM.  Be sure to have your cart street-side by that hour.  The next household collection will be Wednesday 9-11-19.

Charleston County has activated its debris clean-up contract.  At this time it cannot be determined when the contractor will be working on Sullivan’s Island to remove the hurricane debris.  If you place the debris in the right-of-way for removal know that it may be there for a while.  The debris should be separated by category: organic materials (limbs, leaves in bags); construction material; hazardous material; electronics; and, white goods.  Do not block a fire hydrant, man-hole cover or water meter with any street-side waste.

As an alternative, you can have your yard maintenance contractor remove the material in the normal course of the yard work.
