The Palmetto Log Fort Exhibit will close on Friday, July 3rd at noon to facilitate the set up of our 4th of July Fireworks Display. It will reopen to the public on Monday, July 6th at 8am.

Public Works Department

Welcome SignThe Public Works Department works diligently to provide regular maintenance for the Island. Public Works is managed by the Fire Department and it is charged with assisting with the regular maintenance of public properties, like parks, beach paths and right-of-ways. The staff consists of one full-time supervisor, Scott Sanders, and one full-time maintenance worker. Seasonal and part-time employees are retained as needed.
