Stormwater project update map between Station 27 and Station 32.
Re-paving work will be taking place through next week in the areas of Station 30 to 31 between Middle Street and Brownell Avenue.
Project Summary:
The Town of Sullivan’s Island has been awarded $3 million through Senator Lindsey Graham’s FY2026 Congressional appropriations package to support critical stormwater infrastructure improvements. The funding will be administered by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), and Town staff will be working closely with Senator Graham’s office and EPA representatives to better understand the next steps for grant implementation and project delivery.
The grant will help advance much-needed drainage improvements within the Station 22.5 drainage basin, including areas generally located between Stations 22 and 23, extending from Atlantic Avenue to the Station 22.5 marsh outfall. These improvements are intended to address longstanding flooding concerns and improve the resiliency of the Town’s stormwater infrastructure.
Additional information regarding project scope, scheduling, and public engagement opportunities will be provided as the Town works through the grant administration process and project development phases.
