In an abundance of caution and following the advice of the Centers for Disease Control, Wednesday collection of yard debris will be suspended indefinitely due to the continued spread of COVID-19. Residents are asked not to place any debris street-side until further notice.
During its October 2019 meeting, Town Council voted to engage a group of consultants under the direction of Keith Bowers of Biohabitats Inc. to review the accreted land in its present state along with the various planning documents associated with the property which is protected by deed restriction with the Lowcountry Land Trust.

The team was introduced on Wednesday January 8, 2020 at 9:00 AM during a Special Meeting of Town Council. Over the course of two days the experts met among themselves to study physical changes in the property during the past 10 years, the draft management plan prepared by Coastal Science and Engineering in 2010, Town Council Management Plan 3A (circa 2011) and various maps, documents and comments which speak to the nature of the property.
